Looks like y8 has reduced the gore and violence genres. I played from 2013 to around 2016. and since then I haven’t played Y8 anymore. Now coming back is both thrilling and strange

It probably isn´t Y8, but the games in general has reduced that, so there isn´t many games of that kind to add now. However those old games still exist and you can play them.

Well, like any free web games portal, we rely on ads to fund the whole machinery, because as you can imagine, everything has a cost.
With gore or ultra-violent games, some advertisers may refuse to be associated with this type of content. It is always very sensitive and therefore difficult to monetize these games.
As Zolon says, it is the world of the web that has changed as a whole, we are much less free than before, that’s for sure.
