I did, years ago 
It is very fun but it’s not my fav one. I prefer GTA 3 because it was the first I played (and also the first in 3D).
It was sooo much a slap in the face for the teens we were. It will always have a special place in my heart.
But my very fav one for me, by far, is GTA Vice City, because of all it’s 80s vibes.

yes I always do, I keep free riding around the map for hours (using different vehicle- car, plane, motor…etc)
by the way, I wish I had a car in real life so I can do the same thing
